The Upland Sandpiper is a favourite bird of mine well remembered from my years living on the Canadian prairies. We often saw this bird calmly sitting on fence posts. It's song is an unforgettable, "wolf whistle". Photographed with Sony a99ii and 400mm F4.5 with 1.4x II, hand held.
