A Visit to Brookfield MarshOn my way to Truro I stopped for a short tour of Brookfield Marsh. It was too early for wildflower activity but I did enjoy the parade of Geese, the wild songs of the Red-winged Blackbirds and Common Grackles. Alder Flycatchers, Yellow Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Tree Swallows and the usual throng of sparrows added to the melee, plus a single Killdeer. It was too late in the day for a serious summary of this marsh's membership.
The single Killdeer did not pose but kept a discrete distance probably due to nesting activity.
