Late Summer Birds of Duncan ReefThis compendium of some of the late summer birds of Duncan Reef includes the period between the last week of August to the middle of September. The shorebirds are all gone now and the late migrants have not arrived. Ipswich Sparrow, Lapland Longspur, Snow Bunting, Horned Larks, American Pipit and the always anticipated Harlequin Ducks and Purple Sandpipers are yet to arrive, and perhaps a rarity or two.
