The Blackpoll Warbler is a common nesting species in Nova Scotia along coastal boreal forests, the wilder and wetter the better. The habitat usually has gnarled and bent spruce trees, well weathered by the constant salty onshore winds. It is almost exclusively a Canadian born bird.
