Glossy Ibis does not photograph well in gloomy conditions. Bright reflected light brings out its glossy sheen nicely. Also, gloomy conditions almost always produce noisier photos and I despise noise. Unfortunately noise reduction flattens the image and detail is lost. It's always a compromise.
