The Peregrine Falcon is the world's fastest bird while diving after prey and perhaps in horizontal flight as well. Although relatively easy to find in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia they don't like to pose. I was very lucky with this one particularly since I had to stop my truck, set up my tripod and mount a 12 pound lens while the bird waited patiently.
