The Winter Wren like its forest companion the Brown Creeper is easy enough to find but hard to photograph well since both species tend to the dark deep forests. Sometimes they will hop on a stump in sunlight but its all luck, no skill here. I am loath to use a flash since it is artificial and the light can be harsh. Worst of all the flash almost completely wipes out the background of the forest behind the bird.
