The Harlequin Duck is a beautiful bird but quite the challenge to photograph as it moves about in the surf, usually in pairs. I captured one closer to shore but as it happens I neglected to focus on the eye so the photograph was compromised.
Nevertheless, they are a delight to watch as they swim and dive along the coastal rocks.
