Ruby-crowned KingletThe Ruby-crowned Kinglet is easy to find thanks to its bellowing and melodic song that carries for kilometres through the forest. It arrives early and sings until it nests and then it settles down. The two diminutive birds that beguile us with their amazing songs are the Ruby-crowned Kinglet and the Winter Wren. The Ruby-crowned Kinglet can be distinguished easily from its equally active cousin the Golden-crowned Kinglet by its large almost split eye ring. The Golden-crowned Kinglet has no eye ring.
