Snowy Owl on RockThis Snowy Owl was attacked by a Northern Harrier. The attack was likely a case of mistaken identity since the Snowy Owl is four times as heavy as a Northern Harrier. From overhead it must look like a Herring Gull or a Snowshoe Hare. This Snowy Owl is eating which is a good sign. A chewed up gull carcass was nearby. Snowy Owl
