White-crowned SparrowThe end of Sandy Cove Road has always been an excellent birding hot spot. I have visited this location almost daily for 26 years. It's as productive as Duncan's Cove and Hartlen Point and much easier to access. I spotted, listened to and photographed a Loggerhead Shrike here. There has been and may still be a White-crowned Sparrow here, both an adult and an immature. The immature White-crowned Sparrow with its single golden head stripe has been mistaken for a Golden-crowned Sparrow. I have decent photos of the immature White-crowned Sparrow which I photographed yesterday, and I will post them tomorrow. White-crowned Sparrow
